Validator Tool
When you have prepared a batch file ready for upload you will need to test it to see if it is in the correct format. You will need to copy and save the following files:
- The Validator: To receive a copy of the validator please contact the LRS help desk on telephone: 0845 602 2589 or email: lrssupport@miap.gov.uk
Click on the links above and save the files to your computer. If you can, copy your prepared batch file onto the desk top, or somewhere where it is easy to find.
You will need to have Java Runtime on your computer, but this needs to be version 13, click on the link, this will take you to the Java archive. You need to scroll down to:
Change the dropdown to Update 13 and click on Go. You need the J2SE Runtime Environment not the Development Kit.

If you file fails the validator test then check it through to the Java carefully and try again. You might like to use the Validator Help! guide.
