Newly improved Learner Registration Service
The new version will include an improved matching algorithm that will reduce the number of possible learner and Unique Learner Number mismatches. These changes come as a result of feedback gained from the early adopters who have been using the service since September last year.
Learner Registration Bodies using the batch interface implemented in an earlier release will still be able to use their existing interfaces, as MIAP is ensuring backwards compatibility.
The next release in May will also make live web services links with the LRS, which will allow stakeholders to call the service directly from within their own MIS systems. The majority of web services were made live in an earlier release and have already been used successfully by the Diploma Aggregation Service.
