June workshops for Local Authorities
A series of workshops will be held during June to inform Local Authorities and Diploma Centres about the MIAP Learner Registration Service and Unique Learner Number and to update them on the implementation of the 14-19 Diploma.
Invitations will be issued soon to six events across the country. Provisional dates and venues are:
- June 2nd, Thistle Marble Arch, London
- June 4th, Aston Villa FC, Birmingham
- June 5th, Midland Hotel, Manchester
- June 10th, Leeds United FC, Leeds
- June 11th, Jury’s Hotel, Bristol
- June 12th, Thistle Marble Arch, London
The workshops are being run jointly by the DCSF, MIAP and the QCA. Attendees will learn:
- That schools and Local Authorities will need to sign up to the Learner Registration Service
- That Local Authorities have a key role in coordinating consortia
- Where Local Authorities can obtain support for the services involved in delivering the Diploma
- How Local Authority MIS support teams can develop their service to support the Diploma implementation
