1.5 million ULNs issued to pupils
More than 1.5 million school pupils over the age of 14 from maintained schools in England will be automatically issued with Unique Learner Numbers (ULNs) by MIAP in May.
Details captured in the Autumn 2007 census and stored on the National Pupil Database will be used to create the ULNs. The information will be available to schools from June through the Key to Success website, a DCSF service accessible to schools and local authorities.
