Common Data Definitions
Our Common Data Definitions ( CDD) were developed as a common set of data definitions to be used across a variety of data processes between the Learning Records Service and partner organisations.
The standardisation of these key data definitions supports the interoperability of organisations sharing service information and data and facilitates the deployment of the Personal Learning Record.
CDD version 1 was first released in 2004 as an e-gif compliant Government Data Standards Catalogue (GDSC).
It was expected that the CDD should be adopted wherever data definitions are used between our service and partner organisations. The CDD should also be considered as a source of information for any standards under development for learner and children's services.
