Data Challenge

For MIAP the quality of the data in the Learner Registration Service (LRS) is of paramount importance. The service proactively manages and monitors many aspects of data quality. But inevitably there will always be some issues to face that are identified by the user community. Thus MIAP provide a data challenge service which allows you (the user) to report any issues you discover. The most common data issues relate to:

· A person with two or more ULNs

· A ULN being shared by more than one person

· A fraudulent or fictitious ULN created

· A problem with the learner record for a ULN

If you think you have a valid data challenge it is important that you make sure you have the correct facts. In order to help you establish that you have valid data challenge you must use the Data Challenge Tool to raise a data challenge.

MIAP will not contact learners to verify any data challenge, instead MIAP relies upon your relationship with the learner to establish the truth of any claim (the data challenge tool will help you with this). Once a data challenge is reported MIAP will then be able to correct the problem you have found.
