Learning Provider Register (formerly UKRLP)
The UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP) is now referred to as the Learning Provider Register. It is an internet portal which provides core identity data on education and training organisations in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Pupils, students, learners, employers, providers, awarding bodies, inspectorates, government agencies and government departments all have access to this information.
The register was launched in August 2005 and contains information on over 22,000 learning providers.
The UKRLP website can currently be accessed at http://www.ukrlp.co.uk. and can also be accessed directly through the Learning Records Service's homepage. It actively brokers information from four stakeholders: the University and Colleges Admission Service, the National Learning Directory and Ofsted, as well as the Department for Education's school achievement and attainment tables, and functions as the learning portal uniting two of the three largest provider info sources in the United Kingdom.
The UKRLP has links with the National Learning Directory ; UCAS ; the Skills Funding Agency; Ofsted; the Higher Education Statistics Agency; Higher Education Funding Council for England; Department for Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills, Welsh Assembly Government; the Department for Employment and Learning Northern Ireland, Edubase and Skills Development Scotland.
