MIAP Managing Information Across Partners

UKRLP

The UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP) will link information sources on education and training organisations in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Learners, employers, providers, awarding bodies, inspectorates, government agencies and government departments will all have access to this information.

The register was launched in August 2005 and contains information on over 19,500 learning providers.

The UKRLP website can be accessed at http://www.ukrlp.co.uk. It actively brokers information from five stakeholders, the University and Colleges Admission Service, the National Learning Directory, The Adult Learning Inspectorate and Ofsted, as well as the Department for Children, Schools and Families school achievement and attainment tables, and functions as the learning portal uniting two of the three largest provider databases in the United Kingdom.

The UKRLP has linked with the learndirect's National Learning Directory ; UCAS ; the Learning and Skills Council; the Adult Learning Inspectorate; Ofsted; the Higher Education Statistics Agency; Higher Education Funding Council for England; Education and Learning Wales; the Department for Employment and Learning Northern Ireland; Edubase and Learndirect Scotland.

National consultative events are held on a regular basis to communicate and discuss current issues. Technical forums are also held to offer advice and guidance for any stakeholder currently undergoing the technical changes required.

A monthly newsletter is circulated to providers and stakeholders detailing progress and future milestones. There is also a project website which can be accessed from the UKRLP homepage. It is available to all users without login and provides a high-level view of the UKRLP functionality, as well as plans and schedules.
