MIAP has been established to streamline the collection, handling and sharing of information on learning and achievement between individual learners and education and training organisations.
The internet-based system uses the Learner Registration Service (LRS) to generate Unique Learner Numbers (ULNs). Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are anticipated to begin using ULNs from September 2009, which will lead to a significant number of expected benefits.
In order to access the LRS you will need to sign up as a Learner Registration Body (LRB).
